About
I am a data protection and privacy lawyer and an emergency management specialist, helping organisations navigate regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and respond effectively to crises. With a unique blend of legal expertise and operational experience in emergency management, I support businesses in building resilient data protection strategies while maintaining ethical and regulatory integrity.
I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Law degree from the University of Sussex, and a Master of Science in Risk, Disaster, and Resilience from University College London. I completed my legal training in the Global Privacy Office at TD Bank, where I gained firsthand experience in corporate privacy compliance. Afterwards, I balanced my legal practice while serving as a Senior Emergency Preparedness and Response Officer at the Public Health Agency of Canada, contributing to national emergency management efforts.
My career has taken me around the world and I have had opportunities to work with organisations at various stages of maturity in Canada, South Africa, Kenya, Germany, France, Italy, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and more. This has equipped me with a global lens on data protection and privacy, risk management, and regulatory compliance. I am actively engaged in professional development as member of the Canadian Bar Association and as an active volunteer with Team Rubicon Canada.
I am passionate about helping organisations strengthen their approach to data protection and privacy, ensuring they are both legally compliant and operationally resilient.
